AC Milan Nears Completion of Christopher Nkunku Transfer from Chelsea

AC Milan has been actively searching for new attacking options this transfer window, targeting several high-profile players with varying success. Initial pursuits like Dusan Vlahovic from Juventus and Victor Boniface from Bayer Leverkusen did not materialize due to price issues and medical setbacks. Efforts to sign young talent Conrad Harder from Sporting Lisbon also fell through, pushing Milan to seek alternative solutions.
The club’s latest and most promising target is Christopher Nkunku from Chelsea, who has been reportedly available for transfer after falling out of the Premier League club’s plans for the upcoming season. Milan quickly engaged with Chelsea and subsequently opened negotiations with Nkunku himself. The player agreed to a five-year contract, signaling strong mutual interest.
Negotiations between Milan and Chelsea moved swiftly, with both sides reaching an agreement on the transfer fee without prolonged haggling. The deal is valued at approximately €35 million, including potential bonuses, indicating a smooth and efficient negotiation process.
This transfer would mark a significant addition to Milan’s attacking lineup, following a series of unsuccessful attempts earlier in the window. With the contract and transfer fee agreed upon, the clubs are expected to finalize the paperwork soon, bringing Nkunku’s move to Milan close to completion.
