Persib Eyes Loan Deal for Indonesian Midfielder Eliano Reijnders from PEC Zwolle

Persib Bandung is reportedly close to securing a loan deal for Eliano Reijnders from Dutch club PEC Zwolle to strengthen their squad for the upcoming Super League season. The 25-year-old midfielder, who also represents the Indonesian national team, has been linked with the move by several Dutch media outlets. Eliano’s absence from Zwolle’s recent training sessions has fueled speculation that his transfer to Persib is imminent.
Eliano, who remains under contract with Zwolle until 2027, has not been a regular starter this season and has mainly appeared as a substitute in the Eredivisie. As he does not feature prominently in Zwolle’s plans, the club appears willing to allow him to seek playing opportunities elsewhere. Persib has emerged as the likely destination, where Eliano could play a key role.
The potential arrival of Eliano would follow Persib’s recent signings of Thom Haye and Federico Barba, both officially announced in late August. This would further strengthen Persib’s squad with experienced players, adding to the growing number of naturalized Indonesian players returning to compete in the domestic league.
If confirmed, Eliano’s move would highlight a broader trend of naturalized talent boosting Indonesia’s Super League, joining others like Rafael Struick, Jens Raven, and Jordi Amat who have already made their way back to Indonesian clubs this season.
