The Italian club is already evaluating potential additions for the 2026–27 season, and strengthening the defensive unit remains part of the long-term planning despite their current stability at the back.

Milan are believed to be reviewing several defensive options, but Gila has become one of the most concrete candidates under consideration. The management reportedly values his profile highly, and the interest is said to have the approval of head coach Massimiliano Allegri.
