BRI Super League’s Most Valuable Clubs: A Financial Power Shift in Indonesian Football

Competition in Indonesia’s top-flight football league is intensifying, not only on the pitch but also in financial strength. Recent Transfermarkt data for the 2025-26 BRI Super League season highlights a sharp rise in squad market values, reflecting how clubs are investing heavily to strengthen their rosters. The financial gap between top teams and the rest of the league is becoming increasingly visible, with several clubs asserting clear dominance.

Persib Bandung currently leads the ranking as the most valuable club in the league, with a total squad market value of Rp144.44 billion. The club’s financial power is driven by high-profile players, including Indonesian international Thom Haye, who stands as the team’s most valuable asset at Rp17.38 billion. Former Paris Saint-Germain defender Layvin Kurzawa follows closely behind with a valuation of Rp13.04 billion. This strong combination of domestic and international talent places Persib firmly at the top.

Persija Jakarta occupies second place with a total market value of Rp125.58 billion. The club relies on a balanced mix of local and foreign players to remain competitive. Indonesian national team defender Rizky Ridho is Persija’s most valuable player at Rp11.30 billion, slightly ahead of naturalized defender Jordi Amat, who is valued at Rp10.43 billion. Their financial strength positions Persija as Persib’s closest rival heading into the season.

Dewa United has emerged as a surprise contender in third place, with a total market value of Rp106.46 billion. The club’s rise reflects its ambitious squad-building strategy. Forward Noah Sadaoui, currently on loan from the Indian league, holds the highest valuation in the team at Rp10.43 billion, while Argentine midfielder Alexis Messidoro follows with Rp6.95 billion. Meanwhile, Bali United ranks fourth with a total value of Rp100.73 billion, highlighted by three equally valued players—Thijmen Goppel, Diego Campos, and Teppei Yachida—each priced at Rp10.43 billion. Among local players, Ricky Fajrin stands out as their most valuable domestic asset.

Rounding out the top five is PSM Makassar with a total market value of Rp98.21 billion, a figure that draws attention given the team’s squad composition this season. Dusan Lagator leads the team’s valuation at Rp7.82 billion, followed by defender Yuran Fernandes at Rp6.95 billion. Overall, the financial landscape of the 2025/26 BRI Super League season demonstrates how economic strength is becoming a crucial factor in shaping competition, signaling a new era where market value plays an increasingly influential role in Indonesian football.
