The North London club is said to have reached out to intermediaries connected to Xabi Alonso to assess his availability should they decide to part ways with the Danish coach.

Frank has recently eased some of the pressure on himself after guiding Spurs to an important Champions League victory over Borussia Dortmund. The result provided a significant morale boost, but ongoing inconsistency continues to raise concerns, especially following a late draw against struggling Burnley that underlined familiar defensive issues.

Despite public backing from the club hierarchy, internal discussions have already taken place regarding Frank’s position. A demanding run of fixtures against Manchester City, Manchester United, Newcastle, and Arsenal is expected to play a decisive role in determining his future, alongside an upcoming Champions League clash with Eintracht Frankfurt.

Several managerial names have been linked with the role should Tottenham act.
