Europe’s Giants Circle as Dusan Vlahovic’s Juventus Contract Stalls

Dusan Vlahovic’s situation at Juventus has become a focal point of transfer speculation as his contract approaches its 2026 expiration date. Negotiations over an extension have reportedly stalled due to disagreements regarding salary demands. To avoid losing the striker for free, Juventus is said to be open to the possibility of selling him as early as the January transfer window.
Tottenham Hotspur and Barcelona are among the clubs showing strong interest in securing Vlahovic’s signature. Both teams are considered willing to wait until the summer transfer window, which could allow them to negotiate more favorably if the player’s contract situation remains unresolved. Each club is believed to be preparing a lucrative wage offer aimed at convincing the Serbian forward to join their project.
For Tottenham, any move for Vlahovic may depend heavily on the outgoing transfer of Richarlison. His departure would free up both squad space and financial resources, making a deal more feasible. If Spurs manage to sell the Brazilian striker in January, they could attempt to accelerate their pursuit, although such a scenario still appears uncertain at this stage.
Barcelona, meanwhile, views Vlahovic as a potential long-term successor to Robert Lewandowski, whose contract expires at the end of the current season. With Lewandowski’s eventual departure, Barcelona would gain the flexibility needed to meet Vlahovic’s wage expectations. The club is also evaluating other striker options, with Harry Kane mentioned as another name on their shortlist.
