FIFA has released the full list of nominees for The Best FIFA Football Awards 2025, which recognize standout players, coaches, and goalkeepers based on performances throughout the 2024-25 season. The evaluation period covers matches played from August 11, 2024, to August 2, 2025, including major competitions such as the Champions League, domestic leagues, the 2025 Women’s Euro, and the FIFA Club World Cup. A separate announcement will be made later for the Puskas Award, which honors the most impressive goal of the year.

This year’s spotlight once again falls on Ousmane Dembele and Lamine Yamal, who finished as the top two finalists in the recent Ballon d’Or ceremony. Dembele’s exceptional impact in guiding PSG to a treble and performing at a high level in the Champions League has kept him at the forefront of global recognition. Yamal, celebrated as one of the brightest young talents in world football, continues to rise in prominence for both club and country.

The men’s category also includes several other standout performers. PSG has strong representation through Vitinha, Achraf Hakimi, and Nuno Mendes, reflecting the club’s consistency across competitions. The Premier League is represented by Mohamed Salah of Liverpool and Cole Palmer of Chelsea, both of whom delivered influential contributions for their teams throughout the season.

In the coaching category, Luis Enrique emerges as a leading candidate after guiding PSG to Champions League glory. His competition includes Arne Slot, who has made significant progress with Liverpool, alongside Mikel Arteta and Hansi Flick, both credited for developing structured, dynamic teams capable of competing at the highest level. Meanwhile, the goalkeeping category features top names such as Alisson Becker, Thibaut Courtois, and Gianluigi Donnarumma, ensuring a highly competitive field across all award segments.
