Galatasaray Eyes Davide Frattesi in €35 Million Deal Amid Inter Milan Struggles

Galatasaray has shown strong interest in acquiring midfielder Davide Frattesi from Inter Milan during the January transfer window. The Turkish club is reportedly willing to invest €35 million (around Rp 685 billion) to secure his services, highlighting their ambition to strengthen the squad in the middle of the season.
Frattesi’s playing time at Inter Milan has been severely limited since Cristian Chivu took charge. The midfielder has started only once in Serie A this season and has accumulated just 205 minutes across nine appearances, signaling a difficult phase in his career at the San Siro.
Due to his limited opportunities, several clubs have been linked with Frattesi, including Juventus and Fenerbahce. Despite this, Galatasaray appears to be the most serious contender, actively pursuing a deal to bring him to Istanbul and reinforce their midfield options.
The proposed arrangement reportedly involves a loan with a mandatory purchase clause set for the summer of 2026, ensuring that Galatasaray would make the move permanent. This approach indicates the club’s commitment to integrating Frattesi into their long-term plans.
Frattesi joined Inter Milan from Sassuolo in the summer of 2023 and has been under contract until June 2028. With limited playing time and a new opportunity at Galatasaray, the 26-year-old midfielder could find a fresh start and a chance to revive his career on a bigger stage.
