Senegal Edge Morocco 1–0 After Extra Time to Lift AFCON Trophy

During stoppage time, Hadji Diouf brought down Brahim Díaz in the box to concede a penalty, prompting a brief walkout by Senegal players. Before the final whistle, Brahim Díaz’s Panenka penalty was calmly caught by Edouard Mendy.

In extra time, Idrissa Gueye provided the assist as Pape Gueye surged forward to score the decisive goal. Senegal eventually edged Morocco 1–0 to lift the Africa Cup of Nations trophy.
