The Mirror: Dortmund Price Adeyemi at 75 Million Pounds, Forward Prefers Arsenal Over Manchester United
Manchester United is reportedly bracing for disappointment in their pursuit of Borussia Dortmund forward Karim Adeyemi, according to The Mirror. Despite continued close monitoring and an attempt to facilitate a summer deal through super-agent Jorge Mendes, significant obstacles are emerging.
Dortmund has set an asking price of 75 million pounds for the German international, which is substantially higher than Manchester United's valuation. More critically, Adeyemi has made it clear that if he leaves the Bundesliga, his preferred destination is Arsenal rather than Old Trafford. The 23-year-old’s contract runs until 2027, but stalled renewal talks have made him open to a summer departure.
Compounding United's frustration, manager Rúben Amorim is reportedly preparing to shift his attention elsewhere in search of a new striker. The transfer saga appears to be tilting in favor of North London, particularly given Arsenal’s recent upturn in form compared to United's ongoing inconsistent results.
The forward was recently in the news for receiving a fine after violating weapons control regulations through an online purchase of a "mystery box." Adeyemi issued a statement on Instagram expressing deep remorse for his "thoughtless behavior" and accepting the heavy price paid for failing to uphold his responsibilities as a public figure. Dortmund manager Niko Kovač later confirmed that no further club punishment would be issued, stating the focus was now back on the pitch.
