Real Madrid Forecasts Record $€1.248$ Billion Revenue as Santiago Bernabéu Becomes Financial Engine
Real Madrid is set to submit a record-breaking budget proposal of $€1.248$ billion for the 2025/26 season (excluding player transfers), marking the most ambitious financial document ever presented to the club's assembly. This projection signifies a major strategic shift, with the newly renovated Santiago Bernabéu Stadium emerging as the primary driver of income growth.
The budget forecasts a $5\%$ increase ($€63.5$ million) compared to the 2024/25 fiscal year. Internally, the club credits this growth to two pillars: the operational exploitation of the Bernabéu and new commercial agreements. The stadium is transforming into a financial engine capable of generating sustained revenue independent of the football calendar.
The commercial potential of the Bernabéu was already evident in the 2024/25 accounts, generating $€79.1$ million from new stadium businesses alone (excluding traditional ticketing). Revenue streams included Stadium Tours ($€52.6$ million), events and concerts ($€15.4$ million), and catering ($€10.3$ million)—and this was achieved before full commercial operations began.
For the 2025/26 season, revenue is projected to surge further, driven by the full opening of catering areas, full operation of VIP spaces, and the introduction of international events. The club expects the stadium revenue under the "Members and Stadium" category to rise significantly, from $€326.8$ million to $€402.4$ million. The message to the assembly is clear: "The Bernabéu is a gold mine."
