Arsenal Eyes Takefusa Kubo as Next Target in Real Sociedad Shopping Spree
Arsenal is reportedly preparing another move in the transfer market, this time targeting Real Sociedad’s Japanese forward Takefusa Kubo. The North London club has already signed three players from the Basque side in recent years and now looks set to continue that trend during the 2025 winter transfer window. This pursuit aligns with their broader ambition to strengthen the squad and sustain their push for a long-awaited Premier League title.
The Gunners’ strong ties with Real Sociedad have proven fruitful, producing key signings such as captain Martin Ødegaard, Mikel Merino, and most recently Martin Zubimendi. Despite scoring only once in La Liga so far, Kubo remains highly regarded for his commercial appeal and skill set as a modern forward. Should the transfer materialize, he would become Arsenal’s fourth direct signing from Real Sociedad in five years, reinforcing the club’s growing pattern of sourcing key players from the Basque outfit to maintain its competitive edge.
