Presnel Kimpembe Ends PSG Era, Starts New Chapter in Qatar

Presnel Kimpembe has officially left Paris Saint-Germain after 19 years and signed with Qatar Sports Club, marking the end of a significant chapter in his career. The move comes amid PSG’s squad restructuring and opens a fresh start for the veteran defender who has been a symbol of loyalty and leadership at the French club.
Joining PSG’s academy in 2005, Kimpembe rose through the ranks to become a key figure in the club’s modern history and the French national team, including being part of the 2018 World Cup-winning squad. Known for his resilience, he often captained PSG and earned a reputation as a reliable and dedicated center-back.
Throughout his time at PSG, Kimpembe won an impressive collection of trophies, including eight Ligue 1 titles and numerous domestic cups, making him one of the club’s most decorated players. Despite facing serious injuries, he consistently returned stronger, demonstrating his commitment to the team’s success.
Now embarking on a new journey in Qatar, Kimpembe will reunite with former PSG teammates like Marco Verratti and Julian Draxler at Qatar Sports Club. This familiar environment is expected to help him quickly adjust as he prepares for his debut, signaling the start of an exciting new phase beyond European football.
