Bruno Tubarao Joins Persija as the Team’s 11th Foreign Player for the 2025-26 Season
Persija Jakarta has officially welcomed Brazilian forward Bruno Nunes de Barros, known as Bruno Tubarao, to strengthen their squad for the upcoming BRI Super League 2025-26. At 30 years old, Bruno adds experience and depth to the team led by coach Mauricio Souza, aiming to boost their chances in the highly competitive league. He will wear the number 88 jersey and is ready to take on the new challenge with enthusiasm.
Bruno’s football journey began in his hometown Rio de Janeiro, starting with Cabofriense before moving through several Brazilian clubs including Boa Esporte, Red Bull Bragantino, and Vasco da Gama. His time in Brazil’s top tier, Serie A, with Red Bull Bragantino and Ceará SC, has provided him with valuable experience at a high level of competition. Before joining Persija, he also played for Atlético Goianiense, further honing his skills as a winger.
Known for his versatility on the field, Bruno is prepared to adapt to different attacking roles based on the coach’s needs. His main ambition is to help Persija challenge for the top positions in the league and secure victories for the club.
