Southampton and Brentford have just booked their places in the fourth round of the FA Cup as they reconvene in the Premier League on Tuesday night at St Marys.
Southampton drew 1-1 at home to a well-formed Tottenham Hotspur on the last matchday. They are unbeaten in ten of their last thirteen games and six at home. In fact, they have only been beaten twice at this stadium since March. Its the stability at home, where theyve only lost once all season - against a well-formed Wolves too.
Brentford did win 2-1 at home to Aston Villa last week. Before that, however, they were on a three-game losing streak and were unbeaten in ten of their past fourteen games. They are also without a win on the road for five consecutive games, keeping a clean sheet in their away games all season.
The last meeting between the two sides ended with a 0-2 win for Brentford. Southamptons solid home form, combined with Brentfords horrific results on the road recently, certainly bodes well for the Saints to win, but Hasenhuttls side are already showing serious interest in the stalemate.
1X2 Pick: 1X
Final Results: 2-1, 2-2
