Two of the promoted sides go head-to-head on Friday evening as Nottingham Forest entertain Fulham at the City Ground.
These two teams may have met twice last season but I’m not sure we can read too much into those games as Forest have undergone almost a complete overhaul over the summer.
Fulham have made a bright start and have eight points on the board after six games, while Forest have hit a rough patch and go into Friday’s game seeking to end a run of three straight defeats.
Forest picked up four points from their first three games but then suffered back-to-back defeats at the hands of Tottenham and Manchester City. Losing to the defending champions and a team who have ambitions of challenging for the title shouldn’t be a huge surprise for Steve Cooper’s men, but the manner of those two losses is perhaps more concerning and they followed those defeats up by going down 3-2 at home to Bournemouth.
Fulham have two defeats in their last three games as they have suffered a pair of 2-1 losses to Arsenal and Spurs but they were competitive in both of those games and they managed an eye-catching 2-1 win over Brighton between those fixtures.
