The Premier League has officially announced that all games this weekend will be postponed.
This weekend's games will be postponed out of respect for Queen Elizabeth II. Premier League clubs paid tribute to the late Queen at a meeting this morning.
Premier League officials said in a statement:
In honour of her remarkable life and service to the country, and in honour of her, Premier League matches this weekend and Monday night will be postponed.
Premier League chief executive Richard Masters said: "We and our clubs want to pay tribute to the Queen's long and unwavering service to the country."
"This is a sad time for the millions of people who admired her in this country and around the world, and our condolences join all those who remembered her."
The Premier League will update further information on the schedule changes in due course. The FA subsequently confirmed that all English leagues and women's leagues were also postponed this weekend.
