After the first leg match between CFR Cluj and FC Pyunik ended goalless, the teams meet again for the second leg.
Cluj frequently compete in the group stages of many continental competitions, but after a 0-0 stalemate in Armenia last week, the Romanian champions were unable to secure a first-leg lead. The weekend's Romanian Super Cup match between Cluj and Sepsi OSK Sf. Gheorghe ended in a 2-1 Cluj defeat, which did nothing to inspire confidence in them.
The reigning champions of Armenia Pyunik will have a full week to relax before traveling to Romania, where they hope to advance to the second round of Champions League qualification for the fifth consecutive time. Pyunik extended their undefeated streak in all competitions to 18 games thanks to Eghishe Melikyan's defensive strategy in the first leg.
CFR Cluj have scored fewer than three goals in each of those four games and Pyunik have scored less than 2.5 goals in 7 of their past 9 games. This is a remarkably constant pattern that may be seen in both sides' most recent versions.
Pick: Under 2.5 Goals
