Kelme Emerges as Front-Runner for Indonesia’s New National Team Kit Era

The long-running uncertainty surrounding the Indonesian national football team’s apparel partnership appears to be nearing its conclusion. Reports indicate that Kelme, a well-known sportswear brand from Spain, is set to replace Erspo as the official kit supplier for the Garuda squad, marking a significant shift in the team’s commercial and visual identity.
According to international coverage, the partnership between Kelme and the Indonesian Football Association is already in its final stages. An official announcement is expected in the near future, suggesting that preparations behind the scenes have largely been completed and that only formal confirmation remains.
If finalized, the new Kelme-produced jersey is projected to make its first appearance during the FIFA Matchday in March 2026. Indonesia is scheduled to take part in a FIFA Series event hosted in Jakarta, which would provide a high-profile stage for unveiling the new kit to both domestic supporters and an international audience.
This potential change in apparel coincides with a broader transition within the national team. Indonesia has recently appointed John Herdman as head coach, signaling a fresh start in terms of leadership and long-term planning. Herdman is expected to begin his tenure during the same March international window, aligning a new coaching era with a new visual identity.
Kelme brings considerable experience to the table, having partnered with various European clubs and national teams over the years. The brand is also gaining traction in Indonesia through its collaboration with Persib Bandung, one of the country’s most successful clubs in recent seasons. This growing familiarity could help smooth the transition as Indonesia steps into a renewed chapter both on and off the pitch.
