Indonesia’s Rising Stars Earn Places in Asia’s Best XI of 2025

Despite a challenging year for the Indonesian national team, individual players managed to shine on the continental stage. In 2025, Indonesia failed to secure qualification for the 2026 World Cup, raising questions about the team’s overall progress. However, strong and consistent performances at club level helped several Indonesian players gain wider recognition across Asia.

This recognition came in the form of Asia’s Best XI of 2025, compiled by Goalpost Asia. The selection focused on players who delivered steady performances throughout the year and played key roles for their respective clubs. Competing with many established Asian stars who play in Europe, three Indonesian internationals successfully earned their places in the prestigious lineup.

The third Indonesian name on the list was goalkeeper Emil Audero, who enjoyed a solid season with Cremonese.
