Real Madrid Draw a Firm Line on Arda Güler Amid Juventus Interest
Real Madrid have made their stance clear regarding the future of Arda Güler, choosing to shut down any speculation about a potential move. Recent reports indicate that the club rejected an approach from Juventus that involved a proposed player swap with young forward Kenan Yildiz. The decision reflects Madrid’s determination to protect one of their most promising assets and maintain stability within the squad.

Güler is no longer viewed as a fringe option at the Santiago Bernabéu. Under the guidance of Xabi Alonso, the Turkish international has grown into a trusted figure and has featured regularly in the starting lineup this season. His technical quality, intelligence on the ball, and adaptability have elevated his status from a rotational player to a core component of the team’s tactical structure.

As his influence has increased, interest from across Europe has followed. Juventus have been among the clubs closely monitoring his development, particularly as they face uncertainty surrounding Kenan Yildiz’s contract situation. A potential swap was floated as a creative solution, especially given Madrid’s admiration for Yildiz, but the idea was never seriously entertained by the Spanish giants.

Within the club, Güler is considered untouchable. Real Madrid see him as a long-term pillar rather than a bargaining chip, regardless of the profile or potential of any player offered in return. Their confidence is reinforced by his contract situation, with a deal running until 2029 and a release clause set at a level that effectively deters Europe’s elite clubs.

That said, the situation is not without its challenges. Since Jude Bellingham’s return, Güler’s performances have dipped slightly, largely due to tactical adjustments rather than a drop in form. With both players often occupying similar areas of the pitch, Alonso has been required to reposition Güler. Even so, Madrid remain convinced that his role will continue to grow, and they are in no rush to renegotiate his contract, confident that his future lies firmly in white.
