Eintracht Frankfurt in Concrete Negotiations for Kalimuendo

Eintracht Frankfurt has reportedly entered direct talks to sign Nottingham Forest striker Arnaud Kalimuendo as they look to bolster their attack for the second half of the 2025/26 season. According to Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg, the Bundesliga side has already initiated concrete negotiations with the 23-year-old’s camp, and Nottingham Forest has been made aware of the pursuit. While Frankfurt remains active on multiple fronts, Kalimuendo has emerged as a high-priority option, especially as the club looks for reinforcements to support their European ambitions.
The French forward’s move to the Premier League has been difficult since his high-profile €30 million transfer from Rennes last August. Kalimuendo has struggled for consistent playing time at the City Ground, primarily featuring as a substitute and recording only two goals in 13 appearances, mostly during the club's Europa League campaign. Despite his slow start in England, Frankfurt remains convinced of his potential, recalling his prolific 17-goal season in Ligue 1 and his proven technical ability as a dynamic, modern center-forward.
Kalimuendo is currently part of a three-man shortlist at Frankfurt, alongside Younes Ebnoutalib and Newcastle’s William Osula. The club is reportedly exploring a loan deal with an option to buy, a strategy that would mitigate financial risk while addressing their immediate need for a clinical finisher. While Nottingham Forest is said to be open to discussions if a significant offer arrives, they still maintain belief in Kalimuendo’s long-term talent, making the upcoming January window a critical period for all parties involved.
