Globe Soccer Awards 2025: Full List of Finalists Revealed
The 16th edition of the Globe Soccer Awards is set to take place in Dubai on December 28, 2025, with football fans worldwide casting over 30 million votes to determine the top candidates. The event has generated significant anticipation as the world awaits recognition for the best players, teams, and coaches of the year.
Ousmane Dembele and Aitana Bonmati, both recent Ballon d’Or winners, lead the list of nominees for Best Male and Female Player. Dembele enjoyed a standout season with PSG, contributing to six trophy wins including Ligue 1, the UEFA Champions League, and the FIFA Intercontinental Cup. Bonmati continued to shine for Barcelona, securing her third consecutive Ballon d’Or and the FIFA Best Award, further cementing her status as one of the world’s top midfielders.
Dembele faces competition from PSG teammate Vitinha, Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappe, and Barcelona stars Raphinha and Lamine Yamal in the men’s category. In the women’s category, Bonmati contends with Alexia Putellas, Arsenal duo Alessia Russo and Mariona Caldentey, and Lyon striker Melchie Dumornay. The lineups reflect the depth of talent across Europe’s top clubs this season.
PSG has also earned nominations in the team and coach categories. The club is shortlisted for Best Male Club alongside Barcelona, Chelsea, Flamengo, and Liverpool, while coach Luis Enrique competes for Best Male Coach against Xabi Alonso, Mikel Arteta, Hansi Flick, and Enzo Maresca. For the women’s teams, Arsenal, Barcelona, Chelsea, and Juventus have secured finalist spots.
The awards ceremony will be an exclusive event at Atlantis The Royal Hotel in Dubai, attended by numerous football stars, including Cristiano Ronaldo, who is also a finalist for Best Middle Eastern Player. In addition to the main categories, the Globe Soccer Awards will honor achievements in areas such as top agents, sporting directors, special career awards, and La Liga partners will announce their seasonal honors, with Barcelona dominating multiple categories.
