Trinita report only Kohei Isa as injured.

Both Kengo Nakamura and Hiroyuki Abe were able to start last week's 1-1 home draw in J1 against Nagoya Grampus but Damiao has joined the injured list with a thigh problem. Tatsuki Nara is a long-term injury, while Akihiro Ienaga and Yu Kobayashi are both not in full training.

Trinita were held to a 1-1 home draw by Shimizu S-Pulse in J1 last weekend, their goal coming from Tomoki Iwata. While they are no longer the surprise package of 2019 they are good enough to remain in the top five or six and to do that will need to hold their closest rivals to draws and beat the lesser teams. I think they are capable of that now that their style is settled and their position in J1 consolidated! They are just six points off the top of J1, but, on the other hand they are just seven points away from 10th place in a squeezed division. Trinita went down 2-0 at Cerezo Osaka in League Cup play on Wednesday night to go out of the tournament.

Frontale were held to a 1-1 home draw in J1 last weekend, their goal coming from Leandro Damiao. Their problem this season has been their form against the top teams. They have lost just one game – a freak result against Gamba Osaka, but they have draws against all the other teams in the top six right now – except for Trinita, who they meet today. Frontale did the job and won 4-0 away in Sydney in the Asian Champions League on Tuesday night but it was not enough to go through as the result elsewhere went against them.

Another draw against a top six team for Frontale.

The home team has just 15 goals in their 12 league games, while conceding seven. Just 22 goals total in their 12 league matches. I see a low scoring draw here.

The last time these two met was in 2013 when Trinita were last in J1. Frontale won away and drew at home that season.
