Malmo are still without influential defensive midfielder Fouad Bachirou due to a knee injury. Defender Rasmus Bengtsson is a doubt after being substituted against Kalmar last weekend with thigh problems.

Striker Denni Avdic is still injured for AFC Eskilstuna.

Suspended: None

Doubtful: Jo Inge Berget, Rasmus Bengtsson (both thigh)

Injured/unavailable: Fouad Bachirou, Lasse Nielsen (both knee)

AFC Eskilstuna

Suspended: None

Doubtful: Adi Nalic (knee)

Injured/unavailable: Denni Avdic, Luka Mijaljevic (both Achilles); Robert Astedt (unknown)

Malmo are top of the league after ten games with 21 points. They are undefeated in their last eight league games (six wins, two draws) and have won four straight home games in the league. Against Kalmar last weekend, they won 1-0 despite having 22 shots on target. The club are still missing Fouad Bachirou due to injury and the defensive midfielder leaves a gap on the field. His ability to win the ball back and start quick transitions can’t be replaced with the other midfielders in the squad.

AFC Eskilstuna have still not won in league action since the opening day. They have gathered only three points in their last nine league games, drawing three and losing six times. They managed to record a 1-1 league draw at home to fellow newcomers Helsingborgs last weekend, with Gustav Jarl equalising with four minutes left to play. However, away from home they have lost all five of their league games so far, the worst record in the Swedish top flight.

Leaders Malmo will have no trouble beating the worst away team in the league. The home side are vastly superior and the question is not whether they will win, but by how many goals.

Malmo have kept a clean sheet in their last two league games while AFC Eskilstuna have scored just two goals in their last six league games. I’m confident the hosts will open the scoring here.

The teams have met in the league just twice, back in 2017. Both sides registered one home league win each back then.
