Alan Pinheiro will be back after suspension for JEF. There are no updates on Shuto Kojima while Yusuke Tasaka and Peter Kwame Aizawa are both still injured.

Presuming that J.League do not consider Olunga's national team duty as separate and insist he serve the suspension at a later game (because he was suspended AND on national team duty!) then he will be available for selection again in this game. They have no injuries.

Suspended: None

Doubtful: Shuto Kojima

Injured/Unavailable: Yusuke Tasaka (knee surgery), Peter Kwame Aizawa (knee surgery)

Yuki Horigome and Kleber goals helped JEF pull off a shock 2-0 away victory at V-Varen Nagasaki last weekend in J2. It was quite a surprise to see JEF take an away win at a team in good form but we have surely learned to expect nothing from JEF but inconsistency! Their two wins in their last 11 games have come against teams who were surely expected to win and Kashiwa Reysol will also be in that position. It is tempting to think that anything can happen in a local Chiba Derby but surely JEF cannot take out Reysol, can they

Reysol lost 3-2 at home to Mito HollyHock to see a dent put in their claim for the top spot in J1. They are being reeled in by other clubs and the pressure of being on top has been telling. With just two wins in their last seven league games we could be tempted to go for just a draw here, or even a loss away at their local rivals, but I feel that they will have been shocked into action by two defeats to promotion rivals and can at least take care of a much lower team that they have recently been losing to.

Reysol will surely have enough motivation – being a local derby, and being caught up by other teams, to take this win and stay free at the top of J2. Their experience, management and whole squad is so much better than JEF's and it will tell when it matters.

Any game with JEF involved is a good chance for goals. While they have conceded 55 - one of the worst defences in J2 – they have also scored 42, comparable to a few teams above them and much better than the teams below them. They attack, they defend badly, they see goals at both ends, often! Reysol have scored 58 goals this season and will surely be looking for goals in this one to ensure they keep the better goal difference among the top teams, and head for an easy win.

Before Reysol's 2-0 home win this season these two teams had not met in the league since J2 clashes in 2010.
