Bodo Glimt have Endre Kupen missing to a knee injury while Patrick Berg is also missing with a dislocated shoulder.

Molde’s Etzaz Hussain is still struggling to overcome a shoulder injury and Mathis Bolly is doubtful due to fitness concerns.

I highly doubt there will be a more remarkable Norwegian top-flight game in the whole of the 2019 season than the one we witnessed between Mjondalen and Bodo Glimt in round two. Bodo Glimt raced into a 2-0 lead within the first 36 minutes, which the hosts turned around into a 3-2 scoreline by the 60th minute. Two goals in quick succession from the visitors made it 4-3, but deep into injury time, Mjondalen levelled matters at 4-4 before finally a fantastic strike from distance by youngster Hakon Evjen secured a memorable 5-4 victory for the northern club. Bodo Glimt finished the 2018 season on a run of five-straight draws, but they have started this season in explosive fashion, with a league game against Molde a stern test of their credentials.

Molde overcame Henning Berg’s Stabaek 3-0 at the Aker Stadium in their round two league match. Magnus Eikrem started the ball rolling with a first goal in the 32nd minute and Ohi Omoijuanfo scored against his former club to make it 2-0, before Mattias Mostrom rounded things off with a third goal shortly before the end. Molde were also in midweek action against Valerenga, where they managed to win 4-1 with goals from Omoijuanfo, Eikrem, Eirik Ulland Andersen and Martin Ellingsen. Having collected seven points so far, life after Ole Gunnar Solskjear seems rosy enough at present and the Molde faithful will be perfectly content with how things have started.

Although Bodo Glimt have been free-scoring in their start to the 2019 season with seven goals to date, including a 2-0 win over the champions Rosenborg, I think a resilient Molde can bring them back down to earth in this clash. I will predict an away win.

Molde scored three goals in last weekend’s easy win over Stabaek while Bodo Glimt took part in an incredibly 5-4 win over Mjondalen in round two. I think we will see plenty of total goals again in this league match, too.

Molde won the corresponding league fixture in 2018 1-0, thanks to an Erling Haland goal, but the player has since left the club. However, it was Bodo Glimt who snatched a 2-1 victory in the league meeting at the Aker Stadium last year.
