Reds will be missing Yosuke Kashiwagi and Daiki Hashioka, while Andrew Nabbout has not been in full training.

They still miss Daiki Matsuoka to the Under-22 team and Hiroto Ishikawa and Masato Fujita to injuries. Teruki Hara is at the Copa America with a very experimental Japan squad. The club finally made public that Torres was not in full training with a hamstring problem.

MATCH PREVIEW

MAIN PREDICTION: HOME WIN

Reds were fortunate to get a point in a 1-1 draw at Kawasaki Frontale before the international break their goal coming from a deflected Ryota Moriwaki shot with the last play of the game. But that single goal, however lucky it might have been, stopped them going five defeats running in league action and will have boosted them mentally no end. They got that draw away and now need to show their die-hard fans that they can do something at home after three league defeats in a row at Saitama Stadium. The one thing that may distract them is their upcoming Asian Champions league game.

Tosu went down 1-0 at home to Cerezo Osaka before the international break in J1 play. They may have won three J1 games running before their last game out defeat, but close watchers will see a team wasting chances, scared to shoot and very fortunate to have won those games. Fernando Torres is plagued by injury and bad form, missing chances even when he does get on the field. There is talk of him leaving very soon, and this may unsettle the team.

The only chance Tosu might have – apart from the Reds being distracted by their ACL game - is Reds' overall form in their last five league games where they saw four defeats before arresting that slide. But the fact that they did stop the rot will give them a little confidence, and knowing they are up against a team that are still favourites for relegation will help Reds get the home win.

SECOND PREDICTION: CORRECT SCORE 1-0

Reds tightened their defence and found some form last time out, holding in-form Frontale to just a 1-1. They will feel they can keep it tight against a Tosu team that have scored just six league goals all season and be more than happy with a single goal win.

HEAD TO HEAD

In J1 matches between these two teams last season Tosu won at home and drew away.
