Everton: Unlucky in the derby (Recent Form: LWDWLW)

Marcos Silva is doing great stuff in Everton since the beginning of the season, as the club again invested some serious amount of money and with the already good squad they have got from last season, Everton were expected to be the club that could challenge the top six this year and to finish on seventh place and maybe even dream of something bigger. It is true that the top six are still beyond reach in terms of financials and other things, but like I said, Marcos Silva transformed Everton and continues to transform it, as the club is playing really good football and are currently battling with Manchester United for that sixth spot, with the top five still being way ahead. The team played another great game in the weekend, deserving at least a point in the derby against Liverpool, but an unlucky goal in the 96h minute cost them the draw. Still, recently they are losing exactly from the top sides only, as well as at home the form of the club is more than impressive, as right now Everton is on a run of four consecutive victories in front of their fans in the Premier League, as well as had lost just once so far in the campaign (5-1-1) against West Ham in the opening rounds of the season. McCarthy is out for the hosts.

Newcastle: The good run ended (Recent Form: LWWWDL)

Newcastle is having a really bad start of the campaign overall, having already suffered eight defeats in their opening fourteen league matches (3-3-8) and normally being among the clubs from the bottom half of the table. The team however was on a great run of three consecutive league victories before last weekend, a run that allowed them to get out of the bottom three and the relegation zone. However, that run ended tragically, after a trashing 0:3 defeat from West Ham at home and now playing against Everton as visitors I can't see them doing much better. Richie and Lejeune are out, while Dummet is doubtful.

The Betting Verdict:

Everton is without a doubt the best side in the Premier League outside the top six and they have proved that so far in the campaign, as they are actually even playing better than Manchester United. I can easily see them getting another positive result against a club outside that top six, especially with the fact that they are currently on a run of five consecutive victories against Newcastle.
