MATCH PREVIEW
MAIN PREDICTION: AWAY WIN

Avispa managed two goals against the mean defence of Mito HollyHock last weekend in J2, but went down 4-2! Avispa have just four wins all season, all against teams in the bottom half of the table. They scored 15 goals in league action and less than a goal-a-game. Meanwhile they have conceded 25 goals – equal third-worst attack in the division. Just a win and two draws in seven league games sees them struggling to stay off the bottom, only FC Gifu are worse.

Reysol managed a goal from Cristiano but lost 3-1 at Lowly Ehime FC last weekend in J2. That shock to the system will surely sting Reysol into action. They have been struggling with consistency – six draws in the last 10 league games, and are not scoring as many goals as they should, or could with such an experienced strike force. Just six goals in 10 league matches is not enough.

Draws are not a disaster, but losing to relegation strugglers is, and Reysol will bounce back angrily after last week's defeat and gain a big win here.

SECOND PREDICTION: FIRST TEAM TO SCORE - REYSOL

Reysol have not scored many recently but I just have this feeling they will come out here looking for goals – and getting them – early. Even with a low scoring record, though, they have scored first in nine of their games – over half! Expect that again.

HEAD TO HEAD

The last time these two teams met was in J1 in 2016 when Reysol won both games.
