Aston Villa sent a real signal of intent to their promotion rivals with an emphatic 4-1 win over leaders Wolves at Villa Park on Saturday. That was Villa’s tenth win in 12 Championship matches, closing the gap on Wolves to seven points. The Villans have been incredibly hard to beat on home soil this term, losing just once at Villa Park in the league.
QPR have had a pretty average season in the second tier up until now. Rangers sit 16th in the table having picked up 43 points from 36 games. Ian Holloway’s side sealed an important 1-0 win over bottom club Sunderland on Saturday, which was their first victory in four. QPR have won just two of 17 league matches away from home this season.
Aston Villa have been flying of late and they should be able to see off QPR at Villa Park on Tuesday. With Steve Bruce’s team looking to keep up with Wolves and Cardiff at the top, back an Aston Villa victory here.
Aston Villa have won five of their last six at Villa Park in the league, with four of those wins coming by more than one goal. QPR, meanwhile, have failed to score in five of their last seven away defeats. Take a punt on Aston Villa to beat QPR 2-0 on Tuesday.
Aston Villa have won each of their last three meetings with QPR.
