Almere City made it four league victories in a row as they beat bottom-of-the-league Jong Utrecht with relative ease last week, winning 2-0 away. They did have to wait until James Efmorfidis’ attempt in the 57th minute to open the scoring, before Ilias Alhaft sealed the deal in the 90th minute. The team have kept clean sheets in their last four league outings and are in a comfortable sixth place, trailing this week’s opponents Den Bosch by just three points.

Despite remaining in the top four, Den Bosch are not in their best form, having obtained just four points from their last five league matches. They hosted second-placed Sparta Rotterdam in round 33 and took the lead in the 68th minute when Stefano Beltrame scored his 13th goal of the season. The side almost booked their second league win in a row, but Stefan Velkov deflected a shot into his own net in the 94th minute, with the league match ending 1-1. Den Bosch last won on the road in mid-January and have drawn two and lost four away league matches since then.

I can see Almere City keeping up their decent form and book their fifth league win on the bounce.

Almere City have won four and lost only one of their past five home league games and have not shipped a single goal in those victories. Den Bosch have failed to score in four of their past six away league games. I think the visitors will draw a blank once again with Almere City set to be the only side to find the back of the net.

Den Bosch have failed to beat Almere City in Flevoland over the course of the past five league seasons, drawing twice and losing three times.
