Albirex are still without Yasutaka Yanagi.

Tatsuya Wada returned to the Tochigi team after almost 11 months out of the game but they are still missing four players long-term.

Albirex gained a welcome away win at struggling FC Gifu last weekend in J2. Caue scored two goals, but it's just FC Gifu (22nd) and Renofa Yamaguchi (20th) that Albirex have won against since the beginning of April – 10 matches with those two wins, four draws and, until last week's win over Gifu, four straight losses. Do not expect too much from this Albirex side today! Having lost recent two home league games, 65% of Albirex's points have been earned away having had just two home wins so far this season.

Tochigi scraped a 0-0 draw at home to JEF United last weekend in J2 but extended their unbeaten run to five league matches, all be it with four draws in there. Their goals per game average has risen in the last few matches and they are now averaging one per game in their last eight league matches. Two of their three wins have been away from home and they also have the psychological advantage of having won both games last season.

While Tochigi struggle in 19th position, Albirex are just three points above them and going nowhere this season. Tochigi should manage a goal against a team that has leaked 11 in their last five league games, but Albirex can pull off a draw in the end, I feel.

Tochigi have been level at the break 11 times of their 17 matches, while Albirex are also hitting the break level seven times. If they score a majority of both teams' goals are in the latter stages of games, with six in the last 15 minutes for Tochigi and an amazing seven in the last five minutes for Albirex!

In J2 matches between these two teams last season Tochigi won both games.
