Hal Robson-Kanu, Matthew Phillips and James Morrison are injury concerns for Darren Moore’s West Bromwich.

Nottingham Forest will be without Michael Hefele and Juan Fuentes. Tobias Figueiredo, Michael Dawson and El Arbi Hillel Soudani could also sit this one out.

After a disappointing 3-2 home defeat to fellow promotion hopefuls Middlesbrough, West Bromwich hit back with a crucial win at Stoke last weekend. Dwight Gayle’s first-half goal gave the Baggies a 1-0 success at the bet365 Stadium. Albion moved on to 53 points, just seven points away from leaders Norwich, who beat Ipswich 3-0 at the weekend. West Brom are the joint top scorers in the league with 60 goals.

Nottingham Forest are slowly but surely taking off under Martin O’Neill, winning two and losing only one of their last three league games. Last weekend, Forest earned a hard-fought 2-1 win over in-form Brentford at the City Ground, with debutant Molla Wague scoring the winner. The Reds have prevailed in three of their last four at home, losing the other one, but they have not won away since late November, registering three draws and three defeats since.

Having failed to win at home in league action since beating Wigan over Christmas, West Bromwich are due a victory at The Hawthorns. This could be a close one, but my money is going on the home victory.

West Bromwich have won seven times in the league at The Hawthorns this season, opening the scoring in six of those. Back the Baggies to draw first blood in this clash.

August’s 1-1 draw was the first league meeting between Nottingham Forest and West Bromwich since January 2010.
