Kobe: Underperforming (Recent Form: DWDWLL)

Kobe finished last season comfortably around the middle of the table, way behind the top sides and way ahead of the danger zone, but overall over the last year and a half there were a lot of money invested in the club and for this season the expectations were much bigger, as they were supposed to battle with the top sides in the country, but at least by the looks of it, maybe they will need a bit of time. Kobe managed to get players like Iniesta, David Villa, Podolski, Sergi Samper, Dankler and despite that the first three are almost at the end of their careers, still they are more than a quality players for a league like the Japanese one. But like I said, probably more time will be needed in order for the club to be able to move and transit to be among the top sides in the J-League, as right now they are again around the middle of the table, way behind the top sides. However, the good news is that slowly they are building momentum by the looks of it and are playing better football, as right now Kobe is on a run of four consecutive league games without a defeat (2-2-0).

Nagoya: Really bad league run (Recent Form: LLWDLL)

Nagoya managed to progress to the quarterfinal phase of the Japanese Cup in the midweek, despite suffering a 0:1 defeat from Vegalta Sendai, because they won the first leg with 2:0 at home, but that defeat again showed the really bad run the club is in right now. The team suffered a whole four defeats in their last six games in all competitions (1-1-4), as well as in the league they are doing even worse, right now being on a run of five consecutive matches without a single victory, collecting just two points (0-2-3) and because of that dropping down in the ranks, currently being close to the middle of the table. The cup games in the midweek certainly have its negative effect as well and tomorrow it should be the same.

The Betting Verdict:

Kobe is still not playing on the level they are supposed to, given how many star players they are having, despite being mostly around the end of their careers, but playing with Nagoya who are in bad shape recently, i think that the hosts could manage to get another positive result.
