Valencia: Back-to-back victories (Recent Form: WWDLDD)

Valencia are on 13th place in La Liga with 17 points. ‘Los Che’ are in fine shape – 2 wins, 2 draws, 1 loss in last 5 matches across all competitions. Valencia take on Granada on Saturday at Mestalla. “They are a newly promoted side, and they are doing a very good job. In their last game, had they won then they would have gone top. They are very organised defensively, but very daring when they go on the attack. I know their coach from his time in the Sevilla FC youth team, and he's very good; he has a lot of talent and speed available up top. They have a very high average for goals away from home, and they are going to provide us with many difficulties,” said coach Albert Celades. Piccini, Cheryshev, Soler, Sobrino, Coquelin, Diakhaby and Guedes are ruled out.

Probable line-ups: Cillessen; Wass, Garay, Gabriel Paulista, Gaya; Ferran Torres, Kondogbia, Parejo, Rodrigo; Maxi Gomez, Gameiro

Granada: Back-to-back losses (Recent Form: LLWWLW)

Granada sit on 6th position in the standings with 20 points. They are having a good campaign in general, but they’ve lost the last 2 games, against Getafe and Real Sociedad. Now it’s time for an away encounter against Valencia and this can be a special fixture for striker Roberto Soldado, who is a former Valencia player. “There will be people who receive me well and another who receive me badly. All I have in my head are the three points. It is clear that the team would like to have reached this match with two wins and not two losses. The line of work is the same and we go with more desire if possible. It is a nice game against a complicated opponent who is getting the stability that they had and it will not be easy.  They have a great squad and great, international players,” he said. Victor Diaz and Lozano are unavailable, Rui Silva is doubtful.

Probable line-ups: Rui Silva; Quini, Duarte, German, Neva; Herrera, Gonalons, Azeez; Puertas, Vadillo, Soldado

Summing up, it looks like hosts are favourites of this clash. Valencia appear to be getting better, besides Granada may be low on morale after the recent defeats so perhaps the home side may win.
