Primera Division de Chile -- Universidad de Concepcion  VS  Palestino

Livescore | Match Prediction & Tips| Asian Handicap Odds|Line-ups & H2H Stats

Universidad Concepcion won’t have Fernando Manriquez due to injury, but Nicolas Orellana will return from suspension. Guillermo Pacheco is out after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season.

Roberto Gutierrez and Federico Lanzilotta are both sidelined for Palestino

Universidad Concepcion

Suspended: Guillermo Pacheco

Doubtful: None

Injured/Unavailable: Fernando Manriquez (leg), Luis Riveros (knee)

Suspended: None

Doubtful: None

Injured/Unavailable: Roberto Gutierrez (leg), Federico Lanzilotta (undisclosed), Sebastian Silva, Santiago Lizana (both muscular)

Universidad Concepcion remain at the bottom of the standings and are coming off a 2-2 away draw at Iquique the last time out. However, El Campanil remain winless in their last 10 league matches (4 draws, 6 losses) and even if they win here, they would remain in relegation zone for at least one more week. Things have not been better for them at home, where they have won just three times in the league (3 wins, 4 draws, 2 lossees) while riding a four-game winless run (2 draws, 2 losses).

Palestino, on the other hand, are coming off a 2-2 home draw against Colo Colo in their previous outing, and remain alive on the race for a 2020 Copa Sudamericana berth thanks to a seven-game undefeated streak in league action(3 win, 4 draws). Los Arabes have also impressed on the road, where they are currently riding a three-game undefeated streak in the league (2 wins, 1 draw – back-to-back wins) while losing just three times in the league 2019 (3 wins, 3 draws, 3 draws).

Based on the recent form shown by both sides in recent weeks, I expect Palestino to come away with the win in this match.

Palestino have scored first in two of their last four matches, but they will take advantage of Universidad Concepcion’s defensive issues to break the deadlock in this one.

The recent head-to-head record shows an edge for Universidad Concepcion (W3, D1, L1), although Palestino won the previous meeting earlier this season.
