Tottenham Hotspur: Steven Bergwijn still on the couch ( Recent Form: L W D W D )

Tottenham Hotspur was in sixth place prior to the 25th round of the Premier League. The Spurs have already built up a reasonable backlog on Chelsea and it is therefore difficult for José Mourinho to qualify for next year's Champions League with Tottenham Hotspur. Currently, Tottenham is still active in the Champions League: the Spurs first play a home game against RB Leipzig in Germany in the knockout phase on 19 February. This Tottenham only seems to be too short to get far in the Champions League just like last season. At the Spurs they hired Steven Bergwijn from PSV this week. The Dutch winger will not start in the Mourinho team against Manchester City and the question is whether Bergwijn is at all a direct customer base at Tottenham: Bergwijn will not just play Heung-Min Son out of the base. Last weekend, when Bergwijn was already in London, Tottenham did not get any further than a 1-1 draw at Southampton in the FA Cup and as a result, the Spurs play the replay on Wednesday evening against The Saints at their own Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Mourinho has to compete against Manchester City without Harry Kane, Moussa Sissoko and Ben Davies.

Manchester City: Another final place in the Carabao Cup ( Recent Form: W D W W L )

The Premier League is actually no longer relevant for Manchester City: The Citizens are so far behind Liverpool that they will not be champions and so much ahead of a number of competitors that Champions League qualification is almost certain. However, Manchester City will want to finish in second place in the Premier League and in addition the Pep Guadiola team wants to achieve as much success as possible in the various cup competitions, including the Carabao Cup and the Champions League. Manchester City will be in the final again in the Carabao Cup next month. The Citizens eliminated two games against fellow Manchester United (3-2 win) in the semi-final and will face Aston Villa in the final soon. At Manchester City it remained quiet during the last transfer period; only players left the Etihad Stadium, with Angeliño (RB Leipzig) being the most famous example. This means that Guardiola will still have its star formation in the coming months.

After all, facing with a team like Man City who is not in the strongest squad, Jose Mourinho will likely direct the game players cautiously and wait for opportunities in counterattack situations. This is the basis to believe that the next 90 minutes will not appear too many goals. All 3 encounters of Tottenham under Special One with Liverpool, Chelsea and Man Utd did not exceed 3 goals / game.
