Stromsgodset played away against fellow strugglers Sarpsborg in their last league outing, drawing 2-2. Although they will have been pleased with the result, they have failed to score in five of their last seven matches in the league. In league games played at home, Stromsgodset have won two, drawn one and lost three while their dismal home record is also evident from their –3 goal difference and the 13 goals they have conceded at Marienlyst. Sitting at the bottom of the league standing, Stromsgodset have been in poor form this season and are in real danger of being relegated if they can’t turn things around soon.

15th placed Stabaek failed to win at home for a third successive league match (one draw, two losses) when they drew 0-0 with Ranheim. It was a frustrating evening in Baerum for the home fans, as two nervous teams failed to entertain or break the deadlock. Stabaek have won just once away from home this season, losing four times, with their only league victory on the road ending 1-0 win two weeks ago. However, both Stromsgodset’s poor form and the fact that Stabaek are unbeaten in their last three visits to Marienlyst in league action (one win, two draws) could stimulate their confidence.

This is a difficult league game to predict. Both teams are out of form and I will predict a draw.

Both league meetings between these clubs last year yielded four total goals. For this reason I will predict another high-scoring league contest here.

Both league encounters ended in 2-2 draws last season.
