MATCH PREVIEW

MAIN PREDICTION: DRAW

Sheff Wednesday’s slide down the table gathered further momentum on Wednesday night as they slipped to a disastrous 1-0 away defeat to a Luton side who started the evening bottom of the table. The home side’s form in front of goal is becoming serious cause for concern, with Garry Monk’s men have failed to score in each of their last three home league games.

Reading took an early lead against league leaders West Bromwich on Wednesday night thanks to a George Puscas penalty, but the Berkshire side couldn’t hold on and were condemned to a 2-1 home defeat. The defeat means that Reading are now without a win in their last seven league games and with the form of the bottom three improving, Mark Bowen may soon start looking over his shoulder.

Saturday’s game pits two out-of-form sides against each other and I’m predicting a draw this time out.

SECOND PREDICTION: HILO – LOW

Reading’s game against West Bromwich on Wednesday night may have produced three goals but I’m expecting a low-scoring encounter here.  The away side have seen fewer than three total goals scored in six of their last seven league games and face a Sheff Wednesday side who haven’t scored in three of their last five league games.

HEAD TO HEAD

Sheff Wednesday have won four and drawn one of their last five games against Reading in all competitions.
