Serbia: A huge challenge for them ( Recent Form: W L W W L )

Serbia started the World Championships well with a narrow victory on Costa Rica, but after the duel with Switzerland, the team of national coach Mladen Krstajic suddenly looks a lot worse and that is a sour observation. Against the Swiss, everything went wrong, which can go wrong. Aleksandar Mitrovic put the Serbs still early on a 1-0 lead, but then fate struck. Serbia was denied a clear penalty and in the 90th minute it was Granit Xhaka that gave the Swiss the three points: 1-2. Serbia is now faced with a tough job, as the toughest match against Brazil is still on the program and it may only be profitable to reach the second round. Switzerland and Brazil have a point more than Serbia and Switzerland is playing in the last game against the already eliminated Costa Rica. Krstajic will not make any surprising changes for the game with Brazil. The practitioner does not have to take injuries or suspensions into account and that is positive. On the left flank he will have to make a choice between Filip Kostic and Adem Ljajic. Both players appeared in the base once.

Brazil: Internal conflict ( Recent Form: W W W D W )

Brazil was seen by the bookmakers before the start of the World Cup as the top favorite for the final victory, but it has now become clear that the team of national coach Tite has to make some progress. In the opening game, the Brazilians came no further than a 1-1 tie against Switzerland and against Costa Rica, the Divine Canaries needed the time to decide the game. Philippe Coutinho opened the score in the 91st minute and six minutes later a goal from Neymar was added. The victory on Costa Rica, which was indeed correct, has ensured that Brazil is in first place in group E after two games played. A victory over Serbia could therefore be enough to defend that position successfully. Of the last 24 international matches that Brazil played, only one was lost and that will give some confidence, but Tite will finally hope for a convincing performance from his men. Tite will have to take into account some injuries before the game with Serbia again. The right back position is still a problem child. The injured Dani Alves did not travel to Russia and the name of Danilo can be crossed due to a hip injury. Former PSV'er Fagner will now again get the chance to show his qualities. Douglas Costa's thigh injury will not affect Brazil's performance.

THE BETTING VERDICT:

After all, Brazil regularly keeps the zero, but from an attacking point of view it does not run too smoothly for the time being. I initially expect a closed game without too many chances and therefore see value in the under 2.5 goals.
