Sarajevo: After two defeats ( Recent Form: L W W L L )

Sarajevo coach Husref Musemic played in the Hearts in Scotland at the beginning of the 90s. Since then he has been a great fan of Scottish football and the country at all. By the way, at the time he played his first competitive game against Celtic. Thus, the circle closes for the first leg on Tuesday against the Bhoys. There is not much known about the Bosnian master beyond the country's borders. Husref Musemic is definitely not a friend of rotation. Most of the season last season has twelve players split among themselves. That speaks for a clear root formation in the Divovi. With Almir Bekic and Aleksandar Sofranac two players of the back four but left the club. Husref Musemic must therefore see that he stabilizes the defensive again. Whether this will work against an opponent like Celtic Glasgow is rather doubtful. Therefore, in the duel between FK Sarajevo and Celtic Glasgow, we would check the odds for one or two gates of the Scots. The preparation could have been much better for the Bosnian champion. Officially, two friendly matches were played. Against Slovacko and Domzale the Divovi suffered two defeats. These are not the references you can best show in a duel against the Scottish champion. Nevertheless, we are sure that Sarajevo, with their own supporters behind them, will do everything in their power to continue to dream of moving into the next round with a good result. Coach Husref Musemic also hopes that this would be especially rewarding if his team would now be rewarded on the international stage for a fabulous preseason. Overall, however, the belief in a successful campaign in the European Cup for the Bosnians does not seem to be particularly pronounced. Personnel it looks like, as if the coach largely trusted the players who won the double in the previous year. Besim Serbecic and Bojan Letic could be two new additions to the starting lineup. Milos Stanojevic and Selmir Pidro will have to watch for injury.

Celtic FC: Five unbeaten games ( Recent Form: W W W W D )

As a rule, Celtic Glasgow qualifies for a group stage in European competitions. If it is not enough for the Champions League, then at least mostly for the Europa League. Therefore, the Scottish champion is already quite ambitious in this qualification. Against the Bosnians Neil Lennon's team is already the clear favorite, which should be the case in the second round in case of success. Then you would have to see who the other opponents would be. After all, the Bhoys were always qualified for the group stage of a European Cup in the last eight years. The squad has turned only slightly so far. The most notable departures are certainly Dedrick Boyata, who is drawn to Berlin for Hertha and club legend Mikael Lustig, who has moved to Ghent in the Belgian Super League. Toulouse's Christopher Jullien has been the king's transfer so far. But it is not excluded that something will happen in the transfer market. Even without new entrants in the match between FK Sarajevo and Celtic Glasgow the forecast clearly goes in the direction of getting ahead of the Scots. The preparation was not that convincing, but at least Celtic has not lost in three official friendly matches. In the last week it was enough against the Swiss from FC St. Gallen only to a goalless draw. However, Jozo Simunovic still saw the red card. Overall, the opponents have not been off the top shelf so far, so that the results are probably no more than a pattern without value. In any case, the focus was on the preparation for the first competitive match in the Bosnian capital. Coach Neil Lennon makes it clear that his team will go well prepared in this first leg. How it will look personal is difficult to say in the first competitive game of the season. In addition, it was not clear to the end whether Jozo Simunovic will have to serve a suspension in the Champions League qualification after being sent off. There are also some battered players, including captain Scott Brown. However, as things stand, Neil Lennon is likely to be able to bring his desired formation. Certainly only the young Ivorian Vakoun Issouf Bayo will fail, but he is not counted among the regular staff anyway.

THE BETTING VERDICT:

After all, last season, for the first time Sarajevo won the league and National Cup double. It was a great success for Sarajevo. But before Celtic, Sarajevo is still a small team. Moreover, the performance of "Bordo-bijeli" was not good when losing both the last two friendly matches. Therefore, it is not surprising that Sarajevo will receive defeat in the next match.
