MAIN PREDICTION: HHAD - New England Revolution (+1) AWAY WIN

The San Jose Earthquakes were edged 4-3 in a thriller at home by Los Angeles FC last weekend and  have now just one win in the past 13 matches along with three draws and nine losses. They are winless in five with four defeats and a draw. They must be kicking themselves for letting this game get away from them as they were ahead 3-2 in the 90th minute. Vako gave San Jose the lead after just 11 minutes, but they found themselves behind 2-1 only eight minutes later. Chris Wondolowski scored goals in the 52nd and 63rd minutes to give the Earthquakes their second lead, but then allowed LA to tie things in the 90th minute and score the winner seven minutes later on the last kick of the match. The Earthquakes have only two wins on the campaign along with three draws and nine losses for nine points and are in 11th place in the West. They also have just four victories in their past 20 MLS outings along with 12 losses and four draws, with a win, a draw and four defeats at home in 2018.

The New England Revolution are now unbeaten in the past four matches with a win and three draws after tying the Chicago Fire 1-1 in Chicago last weekend. They fell behind after 63 minutes, but then clawed back to earn a point with a Teal Bunbury goal in the 82nd minute. The Revolution now has six wins, five draws and four losses on the year for 23 points and own fourth place in the East. They also have nine wins, five defeats and six draws in their last 20 MLS games, with a win, three draws and two losses away from home in 2018.

The Earthquakes have had a lot of bad luck lately but I'm looking for them to take a point at home against a Revolution team that has drawn half of its away games this year. I think New England Revolution on the +1 market is the safest outcome here.

The San Jose Earthquakes have opened the scoring at home four times this season while the New England Revolution have scored first just twice on the road. I'm looking for San Jose to strike first.

The San Jose Earthquakes and the New England Revolution drew 0-0  in New England last season. New England is unbeaten in the last five meetings with three straight wins followed by a pair of draws.
