The San Jose Earthquakes will be missing Jackson Yueill, Anibal Godoy, Harold Cummings, Nick Lima, Gilbert Fuentes and goalkeeper James Thomas Marcinkowski as they are on international duty while Magnus Eriksson is questionable. FC Dallas reports Santiago Mosquera as injured with Carlos Gruezo, Bryan Acosta, Pablo Aranguiz, Reggie Cannon, Edwin Cerrillo, Paxton Pomykal and Brandon Servania on international duty and Reto Ziegler as questionable.

The San Jose Earthquakes are enjoying a three-game unbeaten streak of two wins and a draw in the league at the moment with veteran skipper and the league's all-time leading scorer Chris Wondolowski carrying them on his back. San Jose strode into Washington D.C. last weekend and left the capital city with a 1-1 league draw with DC United. Wondolowski gave them the lead after 37 minutes but the home side managed to level the game in the 68th. Wondolowski has scored his side’s last seven goals and the team has lost just one of their last eight league matches with four wins and three draws. San Jose enters this league match with 18 points and are working their way up to a playoff spot in the West.

FC Dallas snapped their six-match winless streak in the league at two draws and four defeats with a 2-1 home league win over the Seattle Sounders last weekend. Dallas were gifted with a pair of own goals in the 33rd and 38th minutes to take a 2-0 lead into half time. Seattle then gave them a scare with a goal in the 65th minute, but they managed to hang on for all three points. Dallas climb to 21 points on the year and have been even in the league with six wins, three draws and six losses while both scoring and giving up 20 goals.

FC Dallas has had a hard time with the San Jose Earthquakes recently, with two draws and three losses in the last five league meetings. With San Jose being on a hot streak and at home, I think they will bank all three points.

Only two of the teams’ last seven league meetings have featured more than two total goals. They drew 0-0 in the league earlier this year and I believe there will be no more than two total goals in this league contest either.

FC Dallas has won just two of the last ten league meetings, along with three losses and five draws.
