Sandhausen managed their first goal in three matches, enough to get a point from their trip to Hannover. While trainer Uwe Koshinat was happy to take something home, the draw was not enough to snap their winless streak, which was extended to seven. Aziz Bouhaddouz’s equalizer gave the Moroccan striker three of Sandhausen’s four goals during the win-drought.

Greuther Furth got their second-consecutive home victory by beating Darmstadt 3-1 last Saturday. It was just the second time this season that Stefan Leitl’s squad scored more than two goals. The win lifted Greuther Furth to fifth in the table, comfortably above the crowded bottom half of the table.

Greuther Furth have not won away from home in their last five attempts and have not scored a goal in any of their last three road trips. Sandhausen have conceded just six goals in six matches at home, where they’ve posted two clean sheets this season. Look for Sandhausen to frustrate Greuther Furth’s attack, but for Leitl’s squad to find a way to get on the board and extend Sandhausen’s winless stretch.

Greuther Furth’s offense has been absent away from home, especially of late. Sandhausen’s home defense is not unbeatable, but they’ve stymied better attacks than what Greuther Furth brings. The problem for Sandhausen is that they struggle to score themselves. There won’t be many goals here, however it plays out.

Greuther Furth are unbeaten in their last nine league meetings with Sandhausen. Last season, Greuther Furth won 3-1 at home and managed a scoreless draw in Sandhausen.
