It has been a struggle for Cambuur of late. The team went into their league game away at RKC Waalwijk last week on the back of a six-match winless streak, consisting of three draws and three losses in the league. However, they managed to open the scoring after just eight minutes, with Robin Maulun netting his third league goal of the season. Sam Hendriks doubled up in the 89th minute to secure a 2-0 victory. Cambuur have now won and lost ten league games whilst drawing eight, and are sitting comfortably in the middle of the table.

Jong PSV Eindhoven hosted Jong Utrecht in round 28 , with the away side hardly posing a challenge. They beat the bottom dwellers 3-1. Justin Lonwijk opened the scoring after 12 minutes, Matthias Verreth converted a penalty in the 51st minute and Amar Catic saw his name on the scoresheet for the first time this season. Sitting in fifth, Jong PSV Eindhoven have accumulated 50 points so far and are trailing second-placed Go Ahead Eagles by only three points.

Cambuur aren’t the happiest side when it comes to their home league results. They have won five, drawn five and lost four times in league action this term, but their last league victory on their own turf dates back to early November. In contrast, Jong PSV Eindhoven’s recent away results in the league have been nothing short of excellent. They have won six, drawn three and lost none of the last nine league fixtures on their travels, including three straight victories in their most recent away league outings. Another away win is in the making.

Jong PSV Eindhoven have won seven of their last ten league victories by two goals. I’m therefore going for even total goals.

The sides have met only twice in Leeuwarden in league action with Cambuur still looking for a win. Jong PSV Eindhoven claimed a 1-0 away win last season and registered a 1-1 draw at Cambuur in the league the year before.
