Rostov still have Maciej Wilusz and Timofey Kalachev out with their long-term cruciate ligament and meniscus injuries respectively.

Spartak Moscow goalkeepers Artyom Rebrov and Aleksandr Selikhov are both out injured with shoulder and fractured finger complaints respectively. Georgi Dzhikiya is suspended, while fellow defender Ilya Kutepov has a groin strain. Andrey Yeshchenko and Fernando are slight doubts.

Suspended: None

Doubtful: None

Injured/Unavailable: Maciej Wilusz (cruciate ligament), Timofey Kalachev (meniscus)

Spartak Moscow

Suspended: Georgi Dzhikiya

Doubtful: Andrey Eshchenko, Fernando (both match fitness)

Injured/Unavailable: Artyom Rebrov (shoulder), Aleksandr Selikhov (fractured finger), Ilya Kutepov (groin strain)

Rostov’s four-match unbeaten run in the league was broken by a sloppy piece of goalkeeping to hand Ufa a 1-0 home win last weekend. At home, they are rock solid, having not lost in five league games (two wins, three draws), keeping clean sheets in four of those. They have conceded the fewest home league goals all season, letting in just four so far.

Spartak Moscow lost their first league game under manager Oleg Kononov as they were out-fought by city rivals CSKA Moscow in a 2-0 home defeat last weekend. They have won their last three away league games, but the nerves that shook their defence will take some stabilising. For all their frailties though, they have lost just once on the road in the league, winning five and drawing four.

Expect a tight game to end level.

Before Rostov’s last home league game, which they won with the last kick, they had scored just two goals in their previous seven home league games and all seven of those saw under 2.5 total goals. Spartak Moscow have conceded just once in their last three away league matches in the league. Expect a low-scoring affair.

Rostov have won three of their last four home league meetings with Spartak Moscow, drawing the last one.
