Livescore | Match Prediction & Tips| Asian Handicap Odds|Line-ups & H2H Stats

Rosenborg are without the injured duo Gjermund Asen and Pal Andre Helland. In addition, Babajide Akintola is marked as a doubt.

Haugesund are missing Benjamin Karamoko, Kristoffer Gunnarshaug, Anthony Ikedi, Niklas Sandberg and long-term absentee Dennis Horneland. Torbjoern Kallevaag is suspended.

Suspended: None

Doubtful: Babajide Akintola (unspecified)

Injured/unavailable: Gjermund Asen, Pal Andre Helland (both thigh)

Suspended: Torbjoern Kallevaag

Doubtful: None

Injured/unavailable: Benjamin Karamoko (knee), Dennis Horneland (cruciate ligament); Kristoffer Gunnarshaug, Anthony Ikedi, Niklas Sandberg (all unspecified)

Rosenborg could only manage a 1-1 league draw in their round seven trip to Lillestrom. The visitors fell behind early to a composed Daniel Gustavsson strike, but midway through the second half Mike Jensen popped up with the equaliser. It was a better showing from the champions, who dominated the shot and possession statistics in the game, but their confidence still appears to be on the low side. Rosenborg haven’t lost in any of their three home league games this season, winning one and drawing two. However, there have been only three total goals scored in those league matches.

Haugesund could only draw 1-1 at home to Bodo Glimt in their last league outing. Their chances weren’t helped by the dismissal of Torbjoern Kallevaag in the first half, after he received two bookable offences inside two minutes. Jens Hauge gave the visitors the lead from the penalty spot in the 75th minute before the impressive Alexander Stolas levelled matters one minute later. Haugesund’s away form in the league this season has been patchy at best, with just one 2-0 win against Ranheim that was sandwiched either side by a defeat.

Rosenborg have had a torrid start to the season so far, but their form has improved in their last two league games and I think it is only a matter of time before they click. I will predict a home win.

Rosenborg have scored first in three of their last five league meetings between with Haugesund, so I expect them to find the back of the net first in this one.

Rosenborg won both league meetings against Haugesund last season: 1-0 in Trondheim and 2-1 in Haugesund.
