-----------------------------------

Real Madrid: Fresh Supercup winner ( Recent Form: D D W W D )

Zinedine Zidane managed to claim a top prize for the tenth time as a Real Madrid coach last week. The 47-year-old coach never lost a final with De Koninklijke and the Frenchman did not disappoint either. In the final battle of the Spanish Super Cup, a confrontation with Atlético Madrid awaited after Valencia was simply sent home in the semi-final. Penalty's were ultimately needed to determine the winner and Los Galácticos emerged as the lucky ones. The atmosphere in the Madrid camp is therefore excellent and Zidane also heard good news from the medical staff this week. Sergio Ramos and Karim Benzema have recovered from their injuries and Gareth Bale also seems to be available again this weekend after a few weeks absence due to illness. Furthermore, a team is being hit in Seville that is able to fight the Madrid men in their own Santiago Bernabéu, the last ten mutual competition matches in the Spanish capital were won by Real Madrid.

Seville: Last game without Ocampos ( Recent Form: L W W D W )

Just like Sunday's opponent, Sevilla was allowed to play last week. The club of trainer Julen Lopetegui traveled to Camargo to face Escobedo in the third round of the Copa del Rey. The red-and-white formation made no mistakes and, thanks to the opening goal by Luuk de Jong, managed to settle fairly easily with the fourth division team: 0-5. This weekend there is of course an opponent of a different caliber on the program, for Lopetegui it is his first visit to the Santiago Bernabéu since his resignation from the capitals. With 35 points, the Sevillistas currently occupy a neat fourth place in the rankings, a win this weekend would completely relieve the tension at the top. However, the club from the Andalusian capital will still have to do without the suspended seasoner from the first half of the season, Lucas Ocampos. There is also the chance that winter purchase Youssef En Nesyri will make his first minutes in the shirt of Sevilla, the talented attacker has been taken away from Leganés to catch the departure of Chicharito.

THE BETTING VERDICT:

After all, the home team is the bookmakers' favorite for the win this weekend, although Sevilla obviously won't let the cheese eat from the bread. Historically, however, it is a difficult task for the visitors to hurt Real Madrid and the lack of club top scorer Ocampos is also a major loss for Seville. The Real Madrid win bet has a good chance of success, the odds for the home team are in shape high enough for me to take a chance.
