MATCH PREVIEW

MAIN PREDICTION: AWAY WIN

Despite clinching back-to-back victories in the league, Jose Gomes’ Reading are not out of the relegation woods just yet, as the Royals hover just above the drop zone with a three-point lead. In their last league outing, Reading won 3-2 at home against Wigan. Before that, Modou Barrow scored in injury time to give the Berkshire club a vital 2-1 win against Ipswich at Portman Road.

Leeds have been swapping places with Norwich at the top of the league table recently. After a thumping 4-0 home win over West Bromwich at Elland Road, the Whites won 1-0 at Bristol City last time out and are now in second, two points behind the league leaders. With ten league games to go, Marcelo Bielsa’s men have every chance of gaining promotion to the English top flight.

Reading have been pretty poor at the Madejski Stadium in league action this term, with only two other sides having even fewer points on their own turf, and in-form Leeds should be able to capitalise on that. I can see United picking up a priceless victory in Berkshire.

SECOND PREDICTION: ODD/EVEN – ODD

Four of Leeds’ last five league victories have been won by a one-goal margin. Back odd total goals to be netted at the Madejski Stadium in midweek.

HEAD TO HEAD

Leeds, who beat Reading 1-0 at Elland Road in the league back in November, have not won away from home in this head-to-head in over four years, drawing twice and losing once.
